After trying on TONS of BM dresses with my ladies, I went with a dress from Nordstrom. I picked a dark grey almost black that they will be able to wear again, and it looked good on all of my different sized/shaped ladies. And Nordstrom was great to order from because there’s free shipping for over $200, so I ordered like 5 different dresses in a few different sizes, and then returned the ones I didn’t keep to the store!

I LOVE that dress! It’s gorgeous!

I think it is a beautiful dress! Love the color too.
I don’t know that I personally would ever have a place to wear it again though. Do your BMs have many “black tie” or “formal” events they go to? Although you’d run into that with all floor length BM dresses.
I love how flowy it is and can see how it would work with mulitple body shapes.

My thought if there weren’t many places to wear a dress that formal to is that it looks like it’d be easy to get altered to a cocktail length dress to make it a little less formal.

@mandb122: That’s really true. I didn’t even think about the fact that it could be shortened after the wedding and made into a cocktail dress!

I would wear this dress just out on a random day. I think it is an excellent pick. I think the beadwork at the top makes it playable to both formal and casual wear.

pretty! i have a long flowy BM dress sitting in my closet waiting to be taken to the tailor to be shortened. i’ve been really slow about getting it done but one of these days i really will, and i will totally wear it again.

ohhhh i love the color!! It will look great in pictures. It has just enough beading and looks great. I bet they can wear it a lot after the wedding too

I really like it, and adding on to the recent discussion…. if you could afford it, it would be way cool to tell your BMs that if they purchase and wear the dresses long for your wedding, you will pay to get them hemmed after. Kind of like pb&j said, most long bridesmaid dresses just end up sitting in the closet because they are long, with thoughts of one day getting hemmed.
Just speaking from experience… by the time I have spent a lot of money on a dress, paid for the alterations once, I have a hard time convincing myself to spend anymore money on it to get it altered again.
It might cost $20 for the hem each, but it would make your BM’s pretty happy and you one awesome bride! : )
