Weddingbee boards

I picked up my gorgeous dress today at Alfred Angelo, and I am so excited.  It fits like a glove, and since it has a corset back, there won't be any need for alterations except for a bustle.  I don't have the actual photos of me in it (my mom and grandma took a ton though), but this is the dress on the model:

(^I don't exactly look like that in it, though the dress is wonderfully slimming... unless they're using special slimming mirrors in that store (which wouldn't surprise me and would be an excellent sales tactic) and I'm in for a rude awakening when I look in a real mirror!)

I don't want to wait 6 months to prance around in this thing.  I feel like I want to wear it grocery shopping or something.  :-P

Just one thing bummed me out - I have a beautiful pair of satin and lace heels that I wore to my friend's wedding, and I knew they'd go perfectly with this dress, so I wore them when I tried on my dress today - and the heels are too high.  The dress isn't long enough to reach the floor with these shoes on (and the extra 3 inches were already added to the length of the dress when I ordered it).  So I have to find different, shorter shoes.  Not a huge deal in the scheme of things, but minorly irritating, especially since I wish I could give the shoes more love.  I may just have to start wearing the shoes to work or something.  :-)

On the bright side, this means I don't need any hemming done.  Just need to find the right height heel.

My invites were delivered yesterday, too, some I'm flying pretty high right now.

ETA - I guess it's more like 7 months, except that makes me even more sad, so I'm calculating 6 months from February in general to August in general.  :-P
