It does look like you might need to have it taken it, but cups wouldn't hurt either. You could also use double sided tape to help it hold on to your girls and not gape. But, I would look into altering it in just in the cups area because it looks like the back fits you well.
@piglet_625: Agreed. The back looks like it fits well but the front could use some alterations. My bridal store told me I should start the alterations process about 2 months out, but I might wait until 6 weeks instead since I am planning on loosing weight between now and then.
have it taken in where needed and i think the dress will look great puffed out a bit. other wise the dress is super cute.
Thanks guys! I agree that the chest area needs some alterations and I'd like to get another slip to poof it out a bit more. I am planning to lose some weight so yea, I think I can wait til August to look into alterations since I'm getting married in October.
I would start with having cups sewn in. I'm not sure if you were using one of their strapless bras, but the ones they have provide no lift whatsoever and I think actually flatten the girls more. The girls might end up being right where they should and filling out the top with cups.
And I agree...go with a poofy crinoline. That dress is really pretty!
the dress is really pretty! I say to def put the cups in.. i can see where it is gaping.. other than that I don't see anything wrong :)
LOVE the dress, especially for a fun, Vegas wedding! I would definitely go with the cups. I think the pouffiness of it is perfect, but if you want more poof then I say bring on the crinoline!
I just picked my dress up yesterday, and they told me about 6 weeks out is good for alterations. Really cute dress! I love the idea of adding more poof to it!
You shouldn't get your alterations too early, but you should make your appointment early! I waited too long and it was hard to find someone who still had availability. I found a woman on weddingwire that was great, but I was really upset when my first choice that was a personal reference was already booked up. I called in January and she was booked for all dresses that needed to be ready through August.
Book ASAP, but you can have your fitting closer to the date. Cups may help, but a bust alteration may still be needed

Ok, so I recently got my dress from David's Bridal in the right size, but it feels like it could use a little alterations even though it fits pretty well as is.
The top gaps on me a bit and I'm afraid of people seeing down my dress. David's Bridal suggested to have cups sewn into the top in order for it to fit better. I think it also needs taken in though. What do you think? I would like to have another slip sewn into the dress too to poof it out a bit in the front or get a crinoline slip.
Also, I'm getting married in 6 months so how early do you think I should make an appointment for alterations?
Here's a few pics:
