@Ashe:  Fiance and I have the same favorite color (green), so it was a foregone conclusion that it would be our main wedding color. It’s a good idea to consult him on something like that. Even though as a general rule the guys care a lot less about the details than the ladies usually do, it’s nice when a couple can incorporate touches from both parties.

I think your first instincts are usually the correct ones.

Navy is almost as black tie as black, so your first choice would make your look more modern, upscale and rich in color and texture.

Wildflowers are wonderful, but may not be the overall look of what you want your wedding to look like.

I would say, if you are having a day wedding, then go with a more casual look with the wild flowers – it will be more of a country-side feeling.

If you are having a more provincial locale and evening event, go with your first choice as it will be the best overall feeling you want to create.

If you still love wildflowers, then you could probably do the church/ceremony with this feeling, and then switch to a more elaborate look for the reception.  Instead of the girls carrying bouquets to the wedding, you could have them each carry a lovely evening bag in silver or gold or satin with one flower attached.  Makes for a nice gift.  See below.
