I priced them out for an April wedding back in 2009 (so prices were cheaper then) and it was about $130/pp for a buffet, $140/pp for a seated meal (including a staffed bar for both) plus a site fee - which was about $4200. This was for a Saturday lunch reception - so fairly pricy IMHO
The Moveable Feast quoted me AT LEAST $150 per person and would not go down on the price. Spoon Bread catering and Bon Soir Catering are extremely reasonable ($50 per person and under) and they are so sweet to work with. I would especially recommend Darlene from Spoon Bread. She is a complete sweet heart and willing to work with you on your budget. I got quotes in late 2009 so I don't think prices have changed drastically since then.
Good luck! The Picnic House is a breathtaking venue!

Trying to narrow down some venues, and we really like the Picinic House in Prospect Park, Brooklyn. Has anyone had a wedding ceremony and/or reception there recently? I am trying to get a sense of what price ranges their preferred caterers fall into, as well as what these caterers provide (e.g. linens, tents, bar, etc.). Or if anyone's ever used any of their preferred caterers at other venues, would love opinions, recommendations.... Any insight would be greatly appreciated!
