    Hi Bees,

I thought it would be fun to post pics of the your ceremony dress and then pics of your reception dress...just to see the differences. Mine are both in the same family in that they are both all satin, no lace, no beading, but my ceremony dress is quite heavy, a full a-line, and with a train, while my reception dress is much more sleek and sexy sans train. What do yours look like? I'll go first :-) First is ceremony dress, and the rest are the reception dress.

I wont be doing a second dress, only because my budget wont allow it not to mention the bulk of it will be towards my wedding dress, and I can't stand not wearing it for longer than an hour.

But I absolutely love your dresses, esp your reception gown

Hmm....mine is all silk, no embellishments too. Something about that style leaves you appreciating the fabric. I'm a silk snob now. I am ony having one bc I have this thing about having the one dress and looking back and telling my daughter about "the dress". I'm weird like that, some of my biggest wedding mantras are based off a traditional ideologies.

Thanks Wendy :-) My ceremony will be in a church so I liked the more formal kind of dress, but the reception is the time to par-tay!

Gorgeous dresses! I won't be changing - mainly because I already have a very untraditional wedding dress.

@cc -- Is your reception dress Alvina Valenta?  I love them both, but especially the reception dress -- I may be biased though, I am an Alvina Valenta bride!

I don't think I will have a seperate "reception dress" but I do think I'll change into a shorter white/ivory number for the after party b/c I don't want to get my lovely Alvina Valenta dirty (we are going to head out to the entertainment district near our reception)!!  I haven't found that dress yet, though!

@mizrunzou--yes my reception dress is Alvina Valenta! It's actually a bridesmaid dress so it's considerably cheaper :-)
