Gorgeous dress.  The fit and color are both perfect for you.

Not sure if the gloves are a part of the ensemble or if they were on just to help maintain the condition of the dress.  To be honest, found them a little distracting from the beauty of the dress.

I agree with missbiscuit. The dress is so gorgeous but the gloves take away a bit. How will you exchange rings? Will you wear them over the glove? Theyre also so shiny in comparison to the dress, I'm not sure the two fabrics work together. I think a shawl in the same fabric might look gorgeous though, and then you still have that old hollywood style without worrying about your circulation :P

@ cherryshake and arenyth: I do like the gloves, and for some reason my mom LOVES them..At first I wasn't sure if I was going to wear them to the ceremony or not b.c when I first ordered my dress when I had the gloves on my ring only went down to my knuckle it didnt even fit. Well since then Ive lost about 15lbs and when I went pick it up this past saturday I tried everything on and my ring fit perfectly! So I am still undecided!

@ aliceinweddingland : what do you mean by you are usually pushing simplicity on the boards?

(sry it takes me a bit to understand some things)

looks amazing! but i would definitely go for ivory gloves that arent shiny as the white satin takes away from the dress. you look stunning though!

This is your dress!  It is so vintage and you pull the look off superbly.  It is a perfect fit!!!  What will he wear; the attendants?  Don't forget to show us the the total look.  I've never seen a gown like that before.  It is so different and very lovely!!  People's jaws will drop.  It is unexpected.  Don't go showing everyone and giving the surprise away!

Have you tought about a tussy mussy for the bridal attendants and a small one for his lapel?  Joanne's fabric's sells the lapel ones in what looks like silver for under $5.00!!  I wasn't able to find larger ones for the bridesmaids to carry, but they are not instyle here and the florists didn't  have them available.  Maybe in a different part of US from where I live, or your florist would be more apt to carry something like that.

Love the dress, but hate the gloves.  It ruins the look...

Now, girls!  I think the gloves are different and very vintage.  It takes someone sure of themselves to pull off wearing something less traditional.  I'd say 'go for it, ' and good for you!!!  Really.  It may not be your taste; but, gloves are very classic in the old world sense.  That's why I said a 'tussy mussy' would go great!!

If you do anything, you may want to dip the gloves in weak tea to make the tone less pronounced.  If you  hold them up and they are the same shade as the dress, don't bother w/the tea.  But if they are a little whiter than the dress, try the tea dip.  It really works.  No green tea or fancy teas, plain old tea.

But my sense is they may be fine.  There is a bright light shining of the gloves which may make the color more sharp; only you know for sure because you can see the dress and gloves side by side in the same light....

I love your spirit!  What's your thinking about a veil?

Wow! Nice! :) The sparkle and flow and color is beautiful on you! :)

Personally, I'm not a fan of the gloves w. it...but whatever you feel the best in - go for it! :)
