What a pretty church! I love how the altar is in the center of all the pews… I haven’t seen that before. I personally think it is gorgeous on its own 🙂

I agree that’s it’s beautiful all by itself! I haven’t seen the alter in the middle of the pews, either. I really like it!

the church looks gorgeous as is! putting in a ton of decorations may even be overkill, since it’s already such a dramatic space. your idea of simple decorations makes a lot of sense.

I agree with the other ladies.  I don’t think you really need to decorate that church since it is so dramatic on its own.  Maybe just spruce up those altar plants with some flowers in your colors?  Or sprinkle rose petals around (if they’ll let you).  And some candles on and around the altar.

how about just put tulles and some flowers around the gate around the altar? then aisle runner leading up the steps? This way, it weddifies the church just enough that it should satifies your Future Mother-In-Law. And it won’t be too overdone?

The church has enough detail going on that any sort of traditional decoration would probably just take away from the beauty of the auditorium!

Churches tend to be fine on their own, and you’re getting married in a beautiful, unique church. I wouldn’t worry about adding lots of decorations. Subtle will work well. 🙂
