There are pictures from my fitting on September 18th. The seamstress was overzealous and took my dress in TOO much. I brought it in too big and she made it too small. So she is working on it again. Also, the shawl is too big and wide but will fixed, too. It’s detachable. Not sure if I will actually wear it or not. I noticed that you can see where the hoop skirt is at the bottom of my dress so at my last fitting (I forgot my camera) we readjusted the hoopskirt and now my skirt falls so much more beautifully. Also, the belt is not fully tacked on yet. What say you?

@creativeplannertobee: Thanks! I’m trying! I hope the finished product is better.
Okay, folks, replacing pictures with no face photos.

@7monthbride: Gorgeous! Is that fabric silk?

It looks great, but I would not wear that shawl. Tulle with satin doesn’t look quite right to me.

SOOO beautiful! I’m also going to be an echo here and say nix the shawl, imo. The fabrics just don’t go together at all, you don’t want to take away from that beautiful satin/silk!

It looks amazing! I would definitely skip the shawl also.

I’m going to disagree with OPs, I like the juxposition of the two fabrics – I’m wearing a tulle bolero with my strapless satin sheath. You look gorgeous!

I think it looks great both ways but I do prefer it without the shawl. Love love love the belt!

I love your dress….I like, the idea of wearing the shawl during the ceremony and then removing it for the reception.
