I am doing a ribbon backdrop for our photobooth. Bought all the ribbon wholesale for like $30.

@futureluckymrs:  I would definitely use some color for the backdrop as right now your head table is very white.

One idea is to spray paint large branches either navy or eggplant and secure them in pots. Place them on the floor or on a riser behind the head table. (This shows branches as centerpieces but used on a larger scale they would make a great backdrop.)

I wouldn’t add the crystals

@futureluckymrs:  I didn’t do a backdrop for anything. (Our “head” table was mixed in among the other tables. We had a photo booth that came with its own backdrop.) I did sort of DIY the linens, though. We rented wood top tables and I spent several months before the wedding collecting hand-crocheted doilies, which I had placed down the center of the tables to create the illusion of a lace runner. You wouldn’t have to get that stuff on your own, though, you can rent doilies and runners, etc. It’s worth looking into, too, because renting can end up being much less expensive…I learned that the hard way.

This was my inspiration:

And this is how it actually turned out:

We had a sweetheart table.  Black tablcloth with a lace and sequin overlay.  We did the mismatched dishes on all the tables, though.
