Hi bees,

I posted over here about trying to find a dress for my mom, who wants to look nice for the formal wedding we are planning, but who hates most of the dresses she's seeing, as she thinks they're either too young looking, too glamorous, or not flattering on a plus-sized figure. I don't necessarily agree with her (I think she could pull some of these off), but ultimately, the most important thing to me is that we find something that SHE likes and feels comfortable in.

Since my mom is almost 70, I figured I would ask -- what did your grandmothers wear for your wedding? Pics if you have them!

Here's a pic of my 92yr Grandma in her wedding suit. My Grandma is a dresser. I would definitely have your mother look for a suit. Its a little easier to find if she doesn't like any of the dresses out there. My grandmother had a long dress with a sheet jacket over it. The top part of the dress was sequined. She looked really pretty!

So I don't have pictures of her, but my Grandmother wore the best bright pink blazer and black pant combo in the history of the world. She told my mother-in-law that weddings are happy occasions that should have lots and lots of color. :)
