We looked at doing one but opted out for several reasons. I still think it's a great idea and really cute but FYI, at least the 4 or 5 places we checked, it wasn't much cheaper than "regular" food.
My FI really likes the idea of a barbecue and I've always wanted to do a pig roast. Now I just have to find the location and someone who will do it on site. I also need to figure out something for the vegetarians coming.
We were going to do a pig roast for our luau reception but in the end there just wasn't the room for it. Instead we are catering Khalua Pork as part of the menu. I have seen a pig roast at many weddings and it is so much fun and great entertainment for your guests

I'm getting married June 19, 2010 in Sycamore and am tossing around a couple of ideas for my reception. I'm wondering if anyone has done a pig roast and if so, where and who did it?
