Oh shoot was that Tartlet who had this problem too? I forget, but one of the Bees said they had this issue and they went to the craft store and bought that sealant spray that you spray on like charcoal and pastel drawings to keep them from smudging!
You could also get some colorless embossing powder to put over them. I wouldn't use a blow dryer to set the seal though. I would use an embossing tool because it won't blow the powder around.
@ohheavenlyday: It was the fab Cinnamon Bun who posted the trick about the fixative spray (although I've definitely had this problem, too)!

I dont have embossing powder and Just dont really want to emboss them to be honest...Is there no other way to get pigment ink to dry without embossing?
I just discovered that I also have a gold "dye" ink but for some reason that looks dull in comparison the pigment ink. I may just leave the ones I've done as they are and continue with the dye ink since that seems to dry nearly instantly
@tartlet: thanks!!! I am going to michael tomorrow to find that fixative spray!!! I was just so disheartened because I have so much stamping to do.. but once again bees come to my rescue!!
The annoying thing about is that it says on the back of the ink "EMBOSSING OPTIONAL" I think they should clearly display on the ink pad that if you dont emboss the ink will never dry.
As far as fixing spray goes, in an art class I took, we used hair spray to fix charcoal and chalk pastels. If you have an extra envelope and some hair spray, you might try that and save yourself the trip if it works.
@LittleSu: I think I still have an old bottle of hair spray someone around.. I know I bought it and never used it because I cant stand the smell of it.. plus it lingers in the air forever.. I think I will try my luck with the fixative spray. I love having an excuse to go to michaels anyway!
@bells: I think a lot of it depends on the type of paper. If you stamp pigment ink onto a paper where the ink can really soak in, it'll dry just fine. If there's any sort of finish or gloss on the paper, it'll sit on top.
@cinnamonbun: My envelopes are regular plain ivory ones I'm assuming regular paper.. but Yes this morning when I checked the envelopes they seemed to be finally dry, although a tiny bit of gold still transferred to my fingers. I'm still going to michaels today to get that fixative spray because I have a lot of stamping to do!Thanks so much for this post though http://www.weddingbee.com/2011/03/28/how-to-stop-ink-from-bleeding/ its something I would have never thought of.
Yeah, my experience with pigment ink is that it takes suuuuuper long to dry, but if you want to do regular stamping with it you can. It definitely would not hurt to put that spray on though.
On the other hand, if you do want to emboss, it looks beautiful and couldn't be easier...*biased* ;)
@Miss Burgundy: lol! everyone is soooo in favor of embossing on wedding bee. I'l take a look at the embossing powder and heat setting tool when I go to michaels today. How much of the powder do you need to buy?

OK so I'm trying to slap myself. I started stamping my envelopes today with Gold pigment ink. I havent done much stamping in the past so I just bought the first gold ink pad I saw. As it turns out pigment ink doesnt dry completely or properly unless embossed? Even after a long while of drying when I touch the envelopes the gold ink rubs of on my hands. I'm not terrified to stack the envelopes because I'm worried the gold ink will rub off on the backs of the envelops and look messy. I'v tried "heat setting" with a blow dryer.. is there anything else I can do to make sure the ink doesnt rub off on the other envelopes?
