    Hey Guys!

I just started doing pilates (Winsor Pilates dvds) and I absolulety love it. The time goes by so quick and I actually feel skinnier immediately after the workout lol

Has anyone had good results in losing inches with pilates? I am currently trying to lose about an inch off my hips so I can fit in my dress :D

I was thinking about mixing the pilates dvds with running every other day and see how it goes.

I would love to hear your stories though! Or if you have any pilates DVDs that you love

I used to watch the info-mericals and do what they did. lol It seems like a great program and I have always wanted to try. I am currently waiting on Hip Hop Abs to come in the mail. I may try it one day.

I run a LOT and do pilates and yoga as a non-cardio.  Love it!

I'm a huge fan of pilates! Such a great workout! If you want to integrate running I suggest doing the C25k program. The schedule has your running every other day so you can do pilates in between if you like!

YES! Pilates is the only workout regimen that I have felt worked for me. I took a Pilates class for a PE credit last year, and even a week or so I noticed a difference in my abs. Legs, hips, and butts came later, but I got results and I only did it twice a week for an hour and a half!

You definitely get what you put into it, so pull in those pelvic floor muscles and FLEX! Good luck!

@ookbob: Haha yeah, Mari is always telling me to keep my abs drawn it and its so much harder like that

@trugem: So far I like it a lot. I really like the 20 min workout because you get a little bit of everything, but i need to start focusing on butt and thighs :\

@HoneyBear: I have to use light weights for my butt and thigh workouts. That is the only way they stay toned. :(

I like the idea of a 20 minute workout. I think I may give Windsor Pilates a try once I get a hang of hip hop abs.

@trugem: Like with weight machines or lunges and squats with dumbells?

    What is hip hop abs?

I used to do her Pilates videos. It made a HUGE difference in my butt! That little area where the butt meets the leg and kind of on the side.
I was thinking about buying her DVDs since now I don't have a VHS player.

The only problem I ever had was my right hip popping...like out of socket when moving my leg down. It never hurt, but it just went CLICK like it was moving in a way it shouldn't be. Never figured out why, so I kind of wish I had a trainer for little issues like that. My joints are all hyper extendable (i think that's what you call it) so maybe that's why?

Other than that, pilates is the perfect toning exercise for me. I never did the ab video because my abs are SO weak...I just couldn't do the video. lol
I mainly did the butt specific one and the arm one. The butt one HURTS, just a fair warning. Your  muscles will feel it!

@HoneyBear:  I use the machines. Squats and lunges work, but I have issues with my knees so I only use machines. I use a thigh machine at the gym (there is one for the inner and outer thigh). I do leg curls to work on my hamstring, butt, and quad.

Hip Hop Abs from the info-mericals.  http://www.beachbody.com/product/fitness_programs/hip_hop_abs.do?code=SEMB_GOOGLE_HHA&extcmp=e00d4d9a96635c90&ef_id=MflNxbvvPyIAAMnb:20110615042328:s
