I got a Pimple :( My wedding is in 10 days and I never get pimples I think it is stress.  When I got one in the past they stay around awhile and I cant have that. What is the best way to get rid of it fast?

I use these. The first one is Clean & Clear's deep action exfolating scrub. It also comes in a cream. The second one is of clearisil ultra wipes. Both work quickly and work very well. I would be careful trying something new on your skin though! you never know how you'll react.

I used toothpaste a couple days before our e-pics. Yeah, I walked around with a giant dot of toothpaste on my face. It was only around the house, but it was funny and it worked.

    @TheFutureMcBride:

I second the toothpaste! I haven't really gotten pimples since high school, but back then it worked like magic!

Benzol Peroxide! I use the 10% for spot treatment, and it will usually make the pimple go away overnight, if not after two days. It's super strong so you shouldn't put it everywhere, but put a nice layer on top of the pimple. You can get it at CVS or wherever. If you have sensitive skin beware of exfoliants, you want to be as gentle with your skin as possible, or you'll just make it worse!

/coming from a girl who has TONS of problems with her face and managed to fix it without a doctor (cause thats how bad it was -_-)

I just went to the dermotologist bc like you I don't usually break out but have been with the wedding coming up so fast! He said the following:

    • hands off! Don't touch your face and when you wash pat dry with a new clean towel
    • Don't use all sorts of different products. It's over load for your face and makes things worse. He said use a mild cleanser like cetaphil in the morning and night and a oil free moisturizer (cetaphil makes one). He also gave me samples of a topical gel called "duac" to use once a day all over. It's perscription but it's working. Can you make it into the dermotoligist before the wedding? They can give you all sorts of samples. They also gave me an oral antibiotic to take care of any redness.
    • I got a facial last week and my face has cleared up so if you get one asap you might be okay. I broke out the day or 2 right after but 4 days later, skin is great-- gotta get worse to get better

GOOD LUCK and guess what, make up works wonders :)

@Jslong11: can you get an appointment with a dermatologist? they can give you a shot directly into the pimple up to 3 days before the wedding and it'll make it disappear within that timeframe. good luck!!

I dab pimples with plain rubbing alcohol. I do this a few time a day.  The alcohol kills the bacteria and quickly dries out the puss underneath.

Alternatively, make an appointment with a dermatologist for a cortizone shot.

The good news is if it i still around or reappears you can always photoshop it out!! My husband had a giant pimple on his forehead the day of our wedding. I honestly did not notice until I saw all the pictures and WHOA was it noticeable!!! Since I have all the rights to our photos I just used Adobe Lightroom and used the Spot REmoval tool and it was easy as pie. You cant even tell that he has a blemish!

Same problem here -I  can't believe it. I also think it's the stress.

In a fit of desperation, I ran out to the drugstore yesterday and bought a Zeno. So far it has made a huge improvement - highly recommended.

Good luck and all the bst in your last minute planning fellow October 23 bride!

For the deep red ones, I swear by the Zeno.  It's not dirt cheap but it works wonders if you get them a lot!

I second the Benzoyl Peroxide reccomendation! I use it for spot treatments and it makes a HUGE difference overnight. I just get the walgreens brand, but the Neutrogena brand is good too. Just look for it to say either 2.5% or 10% Benzoyl Peroxide on the box.

I struggled with adult acne and had to go on Accutane to be rid of it.  I would recommend using Cetaphil or a mild cleanser and then using benzoyl peroxide spot treatment 2x a day.  If it is super red and inflamed and you can't get a cortizone injection from the dermatologist or can't afford a Zeno, neosporin and/or drug store cortizone cream will help with the redness and inflammation.

I'm gonna go against all previous posters and say do nothing. If you dont usually get pimples and you've never used any of these products before, now is not the time to experiment. I would drink plenty of water and try to get enough sleep and the pimple will go away. If you must use some chemical, use somthing that you have already used before in the past. Dont try anything new with only 10 days to go..

Haha I'm going through the same thing! I got two little pimples on my face on both my cheeks! It's terrible. I'm using clearasil overnight wash and a sulfur spot treatment, and yeah, make up is a plus! I'm hoping if I'm not too harsh on them they will go away. Don't pick at them, they will make it soooo much worse, like the other poster said, just leave it alone if you don't normally get pimples, it will go away. :)
