- Wedding: March 2014
The wedding is creeping up at a rapid pace, and I still haven’t come up with a reasonable solution for our pinata problem. We’ll be getting married this Saturday at the beatiful Liriodendron Mansion, a historical location. Unfortunately with that last bit, that means no candles, bubbles, confetti, hanging things, etc…. We want to have a pinata – but have no idea how to hang it. The ground with most likely be way to wet or dark to be able to have the pinata in the grass, so we’ve gotten permission to have it on the portico. Since we can’t hang anything from the ceiling on pillars, we need to figure out a way to safely have the pinata hanging without it being attached to the actual building. Any ideas?
Here’s the portico:
We’ve been debating the idea of having mini-liquor bottles in the pinata, but there will be some people there who are underage. The fiance says we should avoid it so there won’t be any problems, but I know our friends would love it! The ones underage are our cousins, 9-13, and one son of our friend who is 4. Has anyone done this and had problems? Or suggestions?
