I don’t usually get acrylic, but I used to get shellac all the time. That stuff is AWESOME and lasts until you get it redone.

I know sometimes they painted the french tip on a little thick when I would go get shellac- when that happened, I just asked them to thin it a little bit, and it wasn’t a problem at all.

@me2we:  I think acrylic nails look really fake no matter how thick your white line is! Go with gel or shellac for a more natual look in general.

I get mine painted on…. and buzzed down with the drill:)

I have her make them a little thinner so my fingers don’t look short.

You can take a nude nail polish and paint the entire nail, up to the french tip, and a bit past so you can pick how much the white is

@me2we:  I get the light pink acrylic crap over it( the stuff they use, not gel) and then they file down pretty thin then I have her hand paint the white on:)

@me2we:  yep. Go back and ask to have your nails filed down from the inside. Like scooping the acrylic part out.

@me2we:  ask them to paint it a tad higher than your actual finger tip that you can see through. I get the very lightest pink acrylic.

Here they have regular, light and then dark pink( regular pink I guess).

DO NOT let them put the white tip(like the whole nail is white then they cut it down to your tip)  on first, then use the pink to fill the rest of your nail. She tried that with me and it looked tacky IMO.

@me2we:  I love shellac BUT you can go in and have them thin out the white portion or next time you get them done, tell them to do it thinner. Maybe find another nail salon.
