Ok i know that likely sounds a little insane. I just went blonde blonde, my so really loves me blonde (naturally dark) i get so board with my hair. My i did the ombree thing loved it. I had all brown i had heavy highlights. So i went blonde for summer, and the hairstyist had purple in her hair and i brought up how i always wanted that soft baby pink (she said well i can put it in it will wash out in a few weeks) omg i am in love.
I wanna go lavander next … i might just keep playing with the soft pastel colours sincei ts all bleached out. It’s freaked my family out a bit my partner my mom his mom lol … but that being said even my grandmother loves it on me and i really kinda feel like i want to be that different bride and ok i used to think omg dated photos if you do anything fad like but i have been looking at photos of my grandparents and my great grandparents and i think the things that date them give you a window of the person and the time so i dont mind being dated cause its a time stamp of me and now for me later my kids one day if i have kids and then once i am gone their kids kids so i am kinda ok with the idea of being the girl with the white lace and lavander of soft pink hair?
do you think thats really ok there and i will feel bad later or its good?

Love love LOVE brides with different coloured hair. If I hadn’t lost all mine, I’d have blue hair all the time. I also adore the pastel shades – go for the lavender!

You made me feel alot better already cause its weird but i never liked my hair more then in fun colours i havnt done fun colours in about 5 years so i was wonderfing if i was being way out there. Sorry to hear about losing your hair hope you are doing well now. Thanks much for taking the time to commnet 🙂 and I do agree lavender is a better choice i was sorta wondering if the pink would come of to childish i do love it though but i think the lavander would be a little more adult and edgy then girlie girlie though i am having so much fun with the pink

Be aware that unless your hair is platinum blonde with very little yellow, lavender is going to look muddy. It’s an incredibly difficult color to manage

hmmm thats really good to know i will test it b4 for sure i do love the pink so the pink does work for me even my grandmother loves the pink (i was shocked she gets upset when i even iron my hair and not wear it curly so for her to like it not natural was shocking)

Offbeatwifey2be: I think it looks great! It will be a really cool colour to get married with. I think a different hair colour can really brighten up the look! I was going to get married with fire engine red hair, but chickened out and am going with a natural shade of red. 🙂

Offbeatwifey2be: Also, have you tried Manic Panic Cotton Candy colour? That may be too bright, but thought I’d put it out there! 🙂

- Wedding: June 2014 - San Francisco, CA
Just make sure you use a quality dye and lots of conditioner so it doesn’t look cheap or like straw. Then, go for! And post pics 😀 Be who you are!

- Wedding: March 2014 - A castle!
I had lavender hair and LOVED it and got soooo many compliments. It’s really not that hard to manage just fades quickly. You can keep it from fading as fast by making a mixture of conditioner and a dab of Pravana in Violet. Do it!!

I’ve read on a blog that you can some of the dye directly to your shampoo and/or conditioner to keep the color from fading. It’s not my cup of tea personally, but if you like it, go for it. 🙂

I put pink streaks in my hair for my wedding. Everybody loved it! And I felt so great because it felt so “ME” to have it.

If you want to do lavender I’ll give you a hint. I have natural red hair, and I have to bleach mine for a long time (way longer that directions!) to get it to lift to a very very light blonde. When I want lavender, I leave the lavender color in longer that directions too. It won’t last long though… 4-5 washes at max before it starts turning greenish. So you may want to do it fairly close to your wedding. I usually have purple, pink and/or lavender in my hair… but for my wedding I am actually going to go all natural or natural with blonde highlights. I wish I had the guts to leave my colors in for my wedding!!!
