YVRTrish:  If you don’t have everyone’s email, make a Facebook group of only invitees. Ask them by email or FB message to reply or private message you if they have RSVP’d in last week or so bc you received one with no name. You can try to narrow down by city or zip. The post office would have stamped the zip on there when it was processed for delivery to you, so even if the return adress is illegible, that should narrow it down a smaller group of people and email/fb only them.

So glad I decided to do the number system! My mom laughed at me, but I’m hoping that it can get me out of a bind, in case.

YVRTrish:  I don’t think finding out who sent it is pestering them, but if you do, just hand it off to FI or FMIL and ask them to take a guess of who they think it is based on the “clues”, esp. handwriting and/or just have them keep their ears open for who is going. Most people say (when they see you/FI/parents of the bride or groom), “hey just sent my RSVP, can’t wait,” or what not. Im sure the answer will fall in your lap 🙂

Wait until you have just a few people who didn’t RSVP. Then when you reach out to the ones who didn’t RSVP if anyone says they sent it you can tell them you’re happy you figured out the mystery.

MrsMaverick13:  +1 hand that off to the FILs, especially if you don’t know FI’s side and don’t have contact information.

My bridesmaids looked at me like I had 3 heads when I explained the number system to them. But, as it turns out, my (almost 30-year-old) brother apparently doesn’t know how to fill out an RSVP card, so we would have been SOL if it hadn’t been for the numbers. Unfortunately I think you may have to wait it out. Hopefully your Canadian guests all RSVP soon.

I actually put names on RSVPs cards.  Took a while, but I wanted to emphasize, invites are non transferable.
