I’m in a pinterest mood. I’ve only just started liking to cook, and now I’m addicted to finding recipes and trying them. What recipes have you done that are from pinterest or somewhere else on the internet? Were they good? Will you cook them again?
Here’s my list.
Beef casserole. Super yummy, cheap, makes a huge pan. Really unhealthy though, so I probably wont make it often.
Cheesy biscuit bombs. My FI is in love with these things. I’ve also used cheddar cheese to make them. If you’re doing mozzarella, I recommend using fresh, not shredded. It melt a lot better.
Garlicy cheesy bread. It was okay. Not as good as I was hoping and thinking it would be.
Broccoli cheese soup. Again, it was okay. Not the best I’ve had. In the future I’ll use fresh broccoli. The frozen kind mostly seemed to be stems and teensy florets.
Corned beef and cabbage. DELICIOUS. I could have ate just the cabbage and been completely satisfied.
Cheeseburger soup. Yummy! I’ll make it again in the future, but I’ll use tater tots instead of hashbrowns. The hashbrowns just kind of mushed up and you could barely even taste them. I’ll also take the lid off and mix the beef up periodically. Even though I broke it up and spread it out when I put it in, it just sort of cooked all clumped together.
Crock pot mac and cheese. I love mac and cheese, and this one is really delicious. Super easy as well, since you dont have to cook the pasta seperate or make a cheese sauce. Just throw it all in and let it cook.
Crock pot potato soup. Pretty good. Next time I wont use cream of chicken in it though. I had random bits of chicken in it, and it wasnt good. Like the chewy, nasty, chicken in Cambpell’s chicken noodle. Other than that, it was delicious.
Cream cheese corn. OMG SO GOOD. I couldnt find a 1 pound bag of frozen corn, so I used a 2 pound bag and a whole block of cream cheese. It was so gooey and delicious and amazing.
Tonight I made something I got from a recipe on pinterest, but I altered it slightly.
Family pack of cube steak
2 cans of cream of mushroom
1 cans worth of water
1 packet of au jus powder
Plop it all in the crock pot and cook on high for 4 hours.
The original recipe called for onion soup mix, but onions make me sick, so I used the au jus powder instead. It is freaking amazing. So tender that I cut it with a plastic fork. Mmm.
Share your recipes! I love getting new ideas.
