Sorry sweet pea. In this recession, I’m afraid almost all of us feel your pain. I have a Culinary degree and work at Subway…. yeah not my ideal job but it pays the bills ;). On the bright side, things can only look up from here!!! xo Go burn up that gym with your sexy self.

don’t give up!  Keep your eyes open, I went through this simliar thing 6 years ago.  I had a degree in Medical Admin. Assisting.  I couldn’t find ANYTHING!!!!!!!!!!

I eventually needed to feed my kids, so ended up working in a day care for about 6 years, hmmmm. 6 is coming up here too much, anyways – my mother looked in the paper every day (cuz I basically gave up) but she found a position that fitted what I wanted, told me to fax my resume that day, and I GOT IT.  I have been there for 5 years now (not 6 lol).  Just keep on keepin on, and eventually life works out.

I’m sorry.  It’s super frustrating right now.

I’ve had my certificate for a year and a half now and have been on interviews, have gotten jobs where I ended up getting screwed over, and just recently got a job in my field, where I’m away from home for weeks at a time.  It’s not ideal but it’s a start.  The point is, I promise it’s going to work out.  And even if you’re not working in your “area”, try to develop personal skills that will take you through life.

Good luck!

There’s really only one thing to say – That sucks.

I do believe that everything happens for a reason and since it seems like you’ve hit your bottom, you can only go up from here!

@Mrs.Mittens: “Plus, as FI put it, maybe if she gets a teaching job sooner rather than later, she might recommend me for the position. Love him, always finds the positive.”

Your FI has a good point!

Did you get to the gym?

*hugs* Keep your head up, I always tell my SO (who’s kind of in the same situation as you) that when you get turned down it’s because something much better is out there just waiting for you to find it. So don’t worry, you will find an amazing job that will make you happy! I’ll keep you in my thoughts and send good luck your way!!! 🙂

@Mrs.ChubbyBunny:  You just made me want to go get Subway! lol
