Bees I'm so sad! Our friend was visiting from out of town this weekend and I was helping to get his bags out of the car. He didn't see me and slammed the trunk closed on my finger!

The fingernail ripped from the root but is still attached to the rest of the nail bed. It's all black and blue and hideous and hurts like hell! It looks like the nail will probably come off in week or so.

My wedding is in less than 3 months and I'm gong to have a deformed finger right next to my ring finger! I'm so upset! :(

I feel your pain. The same thing happened to me years ago in HS senior year. Not the same as a wedding but it took months for the nail to grow back so I went to prom and graduation with all the other nine nails done professionally and one with a bandaid over the nail. To make it worse I had to go to the doctors before the nail fell off, they had to pierce it with a needle several times and squeeze the blood out becuase the blood was pooling under the nail.....the most painful experience ever. Maybe it will grow back enough before the wedding so they can cover it up with a fake. Otherwise maybe just do a presson nail right over the nailbed (may work).

fake nails can do wonders theses days, with three months you should have enough nail to put a tip on it and keep the acrylic nail thin so it blends decently with your natural nails (unless your just going to get a full set). Im sorry :( hope things get well soon so you wont even think twice about it on that day!

    CUT YOUR FINGER OFF NOW.

I know it sucks but cheer up--you'll have something super gross and awesome to look at for the next few months and hopefully that is the worst thing that will happen to you regarding your wedding.  Plus, you'll have a hilarious story in 10 years with grotesque photos to accompany it.  :D
