Hello ladies… I know there are some old posts on this topic, but I’m hoping asking it again will get more responses than re-opening an old post.
I have very short hair, verging on a pixie cut, and plan on keeping it for the wedding. I’ve only had my hair this way for about a year because I was always afraid to go that short, and I cut it as a gift to myself after losing 50 lbs and hitting my goal weight. I thought it’d be a phase and I’d grow it out whenever we got married but I love it too much, as does my FI! It’s me now.
Any brides out there who rocked a pixie for the big day? Please post pictures!

I don’t know any personally but I have seen pics online with pixie brides with gorgeous headbands/accessories in their hair and it’s always beautiful!

Don’t have any, but maybe see how famous people like Halle Berry, Natalie Portman, Audrey Hepburn, Emma Watson, Carey Mulligan, and Anne Hathaway have worn their hair? They’ve all done really different, pretty things with short hair.

I’m going to be rocking a pixie cut! I plan to wear a birdcage veil/fascinator rather than a tranditional veil to make my hair more interesting (as it’s not like I can do a funky up-do!). My current headwear obsession is here: http://www.modiste.co.uk (hopefully going to get something made bespoke by them)

@futuremrsk18: That was so sweet of you, thank you so much!
@bikukii: I was thinking a birdcage until I picked out my dress, and now I don’t think it’d look right. I’m planning on wearing a traditional veil for the ceremony, then something fun like a headband or something for the reception.

I say go for it! Brides don’t have to have long hair. I am wishing to have a short hairstyle with some soft spikes in it but FI doesn’t like short hair…

I have a just-longer-than-pixie-cut and am wearing a headband with a lace applique on one side. I have a chin length veil for the ceremony that attaches separately, and then I’ll keep just the headband after. The nice thing about short hair is you can really have pretty pretty hair jewelery because it doesn’t get lost in curls and updos. Check etsy–there are tons of super cute clips and bands and wraps out there.
