I wear something usually.  My husband usually just wears boxers (I said he doesn’t wear PJs since its just boxers).

FI usually wears just boxers (sometimes pj pants and a tank in the winter). I usually do wear shorts/tshirt although sometimes if its particularly hot i’ll just wear undies. I’m not a fan of the totally-naked sleeping.

@Rosie Girl, I’m glad you guys are thinking about wearing clothes now that your kid is reaching awareness age–I know my dad slept/sleeps naked and it always irked me that it was like “knock carefully, THEN see if you can come in” and then he’d just be laying there with a big pillow over him and blankets when we were kids. It was SO awkward. We’ll never do that to our kids. Oh and it’s just gross, LOL. As i got older it was more “ew….don’t need to know” kinda thing.

DH usually wears shorts, sometimes a t-shirt. In the winter, definitely long sleeved pjs cuz we keep the house at 65 cuz we’re cheap. I wear a nightie in the summer or little silk shorts and a shelf tank. I can’t do naked–it feels weird and floppy. I LIKE shelf tanks and undies, lol.

When I was going through menopause though (medication caused it), i WOULD just wake up naked in the morning. Apparently I’d take clothes off in my sleep during my hot flashes and not wake up. Once my shirt was on the ceiling fan. Good times.

@rosiegirl, yeah, i’m a little grossed out still (ok a lot) about knowing my dad sleeps naked. Especially so obviously. Then again, I don’t have very private parents in general. Maybe you wanted sexy time? My husband has told me how AWESOME it’d be if he got woken up to me pouncing him in the middle of the night. I’m like, “wtf, dragon breath and all?!” lol. Maybe you should try to take HIS undies off instead. =P

@ejs – The ceiling fan?!  Ha ha!  That is awesome.

Both my husband and I normally sleep in the nude.  However, we’re likely going to have a roommate soon so that’s going to have to change.

Oh the Lupron hotflashes.  How I hate thee!  I don’t think I ever stripped naked from them but I know I sweated buckets in bed.

i love pjs. especially pj pants. so i always wear pants or shorts with a random tshirt. i’d rather have a mismatched set than a matching set hands down.

Oh god, ejs4y8, I feel like I could have written the first part of your post.  My dad does the same. exact. THING and I always found it SO incredibly awkward and gross growing up.  We will never ever ever ever ever do that to our kids.

I also wear the same sort of stuff to bed as ejs!  Cute short shorts and a tank/cami or a nightie in the summer, long pajama pants in the winter (though still with a tank, maybe a cardigan thrown over).  FI just wears his boxers, even though I bought him pajamas (sigh).  We on rare occasion sleep in the nude but won’t be doing that when we have kids.  No siree.

I voted neither, because normally FI only wears boxers and I just wear my underwear, but if it’s cold then we’ll definitely toss on some pj pants and possibly even a shirt. It’s just more comfortable for me not to wear clothes because growing up I always had a lot of blankets and would use them all at different times during the night.
