I'm not sure why they would...where would you seat them? Or WHY would you seat them??

Excellent question! I am about to start doing seating and I don't know either! My inclination based on everything I've seen is that they would not. I don't think they would feel comfortable being formally seated as guests at the guests' tables. (Plus a bit akward for the guests as well....the if it is like our wedding, the vendors will likely not know my FI or myself well, if at all.) I will check with our wedding coordinator, but unless I am instructed it is some sort of faux pas, I'm not intending to formally seat them.

The only vendors who will be at my reception are the photographer and DJ. Neither of them will have placecards. We will set up a small table for the photographer and all his equipment, and he can eat his meal there too. The DJ doesn't require a hot meal, so I assume he will just eat his wrap behind the DJ table.
