So I need to do a seating chart with assigned seating for my caterer (not just escort cards). I have to have placecards on the table telling people where to sit so they get their appropriate meals. I still (I think) need to identify on the place cards which meal selection they made (mostly in case someone switches seats – which I know people may do).
How should I do this? How did you identify meal selection on your place/escort cards?

@MsGinkgo: I think doing different colors would be easiest to recognize quickly. Alternately you could do a different symbol for different meals.

@JenGirl: I had wondered about doing it that way, have a different border for different meal choices corresponding with our wedding colours.
@springbride23: I think they’re cute too! I wasn’t sure if I was the only one 🙂

I’ve seen those colored dot stickers used!

@MsGinkgo: No way! You could do each with a different color stamp pad if you really wanted the different colors, as well. 🙂

We went to Michael’s and I bought little gem stickers. They are tiny and not distracting, but they let the waitstaff know who got what. They come in all different colors and there are other small stickers too if you want something to go with your theme or whatever. You just assign different stickers to whatever meal and then make a key for the caterer.
The stickers we got were super simple and understated.
