Part of the reason that FI and I chose our hotel room was based on the fact that it is a suite with a seperate sitting area that is is perfect for getting ready. We are staying at the Vendue Inn in a King suite. I think I read on another thread that another Charleston bride booked a suite at the Ansborough Inn for her and her bridesmaids to get ready in. Most of the bigger hotels/inns will offer large rooms, some with sitting areas for a variety of price points. I got to actually see the room we will be staying in last time I was in Charleston and that basically sold it.

@JenniferMm:  Do you mind sharing what the cost per night is for this suite?

A charleston bee told me about The Joseph Aiken Carriage house and I fell in love with it.  This old historic home now has 4 full suites that you can book.  They are 800+ sq ft and multiple bathrooms in some suites, living room and kitchen.  I figured this would be perfect for all of us to get ready in at an affordable price.  The home is georgous, with exposed brick walls in the rooms and a private garden and main house for pretty pictures.  It is right downtown and the best part is that it is a flat rate of 199.00 a night on the weekends and cheaper during the week.  The manager is super nice as well!
