I just couldn’t help but post these! They are handmade from paper strips and scraps. Basically I took some cardstock and fun shears and glue and made business card sized placecard with our colors on it. I experimented with hearts, butterflies, and damask in 3D before settline on these. What do you think? What are you doing for placecards?

Wow, you did those yourself?? Bravo!

Our placecards had silver calligraphy and I had glued swarvorski crystals on each one.

Wow Mrs. Leopard, those are gorgeous! I love your decor!

Those are sooo adorable! How did you make the flower?

Here are two of my favorites from weddings last year. The first is super simple, just neat writing on handmade paper.
This is one is pretty simple as well. For those with atrocious handwriting like myself, just pick a nice font and print out the names on pre-cut cardstock. A hole punch & ribbon and you’re all set to go. I love the unique display though it may take guests a bit longer to find their names.

Mine were just printed on. I wanted to glue crystals on them a la Mrs. Leopard, but I couldn’t find any last minute (since I did the placecards VERY last minute). I ended up having ugly dots that were different colors for the different meal choices, but I wished I would have planned ahead a little better because you all have some really cute ideas!

Oh… Purdy!! Thanks for the inspiration — I can do something similar with my insect stamps.

Something like that would be totally cute… esp. since our venue requires that we have some way for the waitstaff to be able to tell entree selections by looking at the placecards… we could do something like that but with different colored flowers. I love all the creative ideas people share on Weddingbee!

Wow, all of those are phenomenal. I haven’t put any brain power towards placecards yet (except for finding some really really cute holders), but now I feel like I need to!
We’re having a winter wedding without any Christmas-y elements… I’ll have to start thinking! 🙂

@MightySapphire: So cute! I love the 3D flower poof.
We’re uber geeks, so we had test tubes for our escort cards and vintagey graph paper placecards with 1" buttons.

What great ideas and how creative, not sure I will have enough time in the end for all that!
