I'm trying to put together a contingency plan in case of rain on our wedding day... Does anyone have some suggestions on where to take pictures in Manhattan if it is raining?? I'm hoping having a plan for rain will ensure that it doesnt!! LOL.
We loved having our photos at the Metropolitan Museum. The only thing is if you go into the galleries you have to pay for everyone to enter. It was great fun though (lots of "set change" possibilities) and tourists will stop and congratulate you :)
it rained after we left the venue and we hit up our backup plan and headed over to grand central station <-- the permit is free, but i suggust calling way in advance to get it. There's one person that handles this and there can be a lot of going back and forth. I wanted to do WFC as well but found out that the battery park city permit (which is $100) does not cover inside the WFC. to take pictures there it costs $500 =(

posted by kirankiran 1 month agoI have the perfect spot for you - The Cloisters. It's basically an old castle and part of the Metropolitian Museum of Art.
How about the main branch Library or New York Public Library for the Performing Arts
If it doesn't rain, my friend had her pics at the Top of the Rock and they were amazing.
