I’m doing a plain band with my antique looking engagement ring because I didn’t really like the look of too much bling.

I think for plain to work with your ring though, you might have to get two thin bands and put one on either side or something like that.

I just went to a jewelry store and asked her if I could put my ring next to different styles of wedding bands.  She let me take pictures for future reference and everything.  I recommend doing this.

@Bunny82:  A blingy e-ring with a plain band is my favorite!  I am totally drawn to the solitaire with side stones look.

Here’s mine:

And here’s a picture IRL of a someone (Caris from BTD) with the ring I’m getting this month for my 5 year anniversary.  I am going to wear the same type of flat band as I do now.

@AmandaShea8:  Just realized I forgot to comment on yours!  I would pair your e-ring with a band that matches your current e-ring band.  Do you have a pic that’s closer up?

I am not married yet but I got a thin tungsten band to wear when I am doing dirty stuff but I have been taken to wearing it with my e-ring at the moment (about a week now). I guess so some of the engagement energy can rub off on it. It is so plain and thin that I wear it as a sort of guard for the white gold. I plan on getting a blingy half eternity band for the wedding and stack them all. The plain band allowed for an engraving, which my e-ring and future wedding band do not.

in your case, the split shank does lend itself to the ring being both your wedding and e-ring. playing devil’s advocate here…

@Sapphire-Dreamer:  I agree, I think because of the split shank the ering stands alone nicely, and you could treat each band of the split shank as part wedding/engagement ring.

Yay, I’m so happy to see this thread since I think I’ll be doing a plain band with my e-ring but wasn’t sure what the band should look like. I’ll definitely be stalking this thread for ideas, hehe:)

And OP, I love your ring! So unique and delicate.
