@deirdre1984:  Hi Deirdre (that’s my sisters name as well spelt the same). I planned a Vegas wedding from OZ.

One thing to remember is that most strip hotels have a resort fee on top of the room rate which allows you to use the pools etc. We choose not to stay at a strip hotel but stayed at the Desert Club Resort (one block off the strip behind the Imperial Palace) because they had 5 pools, no resort fees and each room had kitchens so that you could prepare breakfasts, lunches etc whoch kept costs down and meant we could just have toast and ceral for breakie in our PJ’s!

I have heard good things about Mandalay Bay but again room prices can be pricey especially when you add resort fees.

For flowers I used Pam from the Palette. My flowers were amazing and exactly what I asked for. And get ready for the extremely cheap prices (compared to home!). But this also depends on the chapel as some insist that you use their florist or pay a hefty fee to use someone else.

How many people is the restaurant reception for? You could look at places like Maggianos, Mon Ami Gabi and Trevi.

We got married at the LV sign so I am no help on chapels but I also believe that most allow a bit of time for photos (with their photographers) but personally you would be better hiring a photographer and grabbing photos at other places along the strip. We used Todd from Bentley & Wilson. Some of the chapel photographers are a bit hit n miss for good photos!
