Someone is getting married in a few days & they don’t have anything. They have a pastor & they just found volunteers to take pictures & make their cake. I don’t really know the couple getting married, but does anyone have ideas on what could be done to make it look weddingy? I’m waiting for someone to get back to me on what “style” they like.
I need cheap, cute, & easy ideas on things that will make the church look nice, or decorations. Links to DIY projects that won’t take too much time… anything would be helpful!! Thanks very much!

@canthugallcats: most dollar stores have decorations. so do party stores like party city.
Otherwise I’d go on craisglist and see if you can find anything. I’m assuming it’s not a very big party so you can get flowers from the grocery store and put something together for that.
Try goodwill or the salvation army and see what you can find there.

- Wedding: November 2013 - old cheese factory
simple understated is so so so pretty and cheap. nice table cloths, many many different size candles. clear glass vases with either water and a few flowers inside the water, or rocks/sand, or those glass bead things for color? one of those streamer backdrops seem easy (idk though i havent made one) but if you dont know their style simple and lighted always looks better than cheap dollar store streamers and white wedding bell things they always have.

White table cloths, clear glass vases with floating candles or glasses with tea lights (groups of 3). Dollar stores & cheap shops. Supermarket flowers. Fairy lights. Cheap doesn’t have to be the T word.

@laura.batty: Thank you so much!!! Those links are very helpful & gave me ideas 🙂
@wisher558: Good idea, I forgot about the awesome $1
@babypearls: No photos of the church, I know some church members are trying to do stuff but not sure what, if anything is going on in terms of decor
@langloiswedding2013: Great ideas, you gave me an awesome idea, I’ll get a photo of it if it works out & update 🙂
@Dancing-in-September: I’m going to look for small candleholders, bowls, etc & add tealights. I used to have roses but they all died in the heat, too bad as those pedals would have looked great. Maybe I’ll go steal some flowers next door haha (kidding)
Keep the ideas coming! 🙂

@canthugallcats: Not sure if it’s too late for new suggestions, but JCPenney carries a line of Martha Stewart party supplies that are pretty cute. Some of it may be too “birthday party” for a wedding, but they have some nice patterned napkins, fancy pom-poms, etc… That look a little fancier than what you might find at most party supply stores.

I would make them some ribbon wands (super ez pretty colour ribbon in there fav colours and nice looking stick tie it lol done)
then they can have a nice lil fun thing for guest to do when they leave and come in
it really adds some fun to the photos and will make the looking back seem more pulled together

Paper pin wheels u can use them on the chair sides in teh church like you would flowers
then tie them in everywhere as part of the table numbers or backdrops or what ever
those are way ez and you can tie it everywhere to make a theme

@canthugallcats: so for some reason it wont let me post this pic so go peek at this
looks super easy (if u have the punch if not u just would have to cut it by hand still ez just a lil more time so you might need a few pairs of hands)
but those pretty flower balls hanging form the church rows ends could look very pretty
