Hi ladies, I am planning a bachelorette for my best friend and we’ve booked a hotel in NYC for the night–now, I am at a loss for what to do. The group of girls attending are all in their mid to late 20s and we are all in very serious budget mode right now for a variety of reasons. The bride to be wants a high class bottle service kind of night but I am mindful that the group we have is watching their wallets. Please suggest any budget friendly but classy/fun bachelorette experiences. I would greatly appreciate your help!

I was just on the Bubble Lounge (Tribeca champagne bar) website planning something else and noticed they have 15% off for bachelorette parties. A round or two at 15% off, before heading somewhere less expensive, could appease her high-end hopes.

Thanks, I will look into it! Sounds like fun. Anyone else?

OMG do not do bottle service in NYC without a discount or deal, it will break the bank.
What about one of those karaoke rooms where you can byob? Then you can bring the liquor you want, get the bride good and drunk and have her sing something ridiculous?
For my sister in law’s bachelorette we went to Lucky Cheng’s in the village. It’s a drag queen bar and it is seriously a blast! The prices were pretty fair considering it was dinner and a show practically.
For my friend’s bachelorette I bought a groupon for a limo service that I used to take her to AC for the weekend and basically we did all our drinking in the car and hotel room. I would say that one the biggest money savers is if you do most of your high end drinking in the room and then just order lower end stuff at the bar/club/restaurant. Also, we bought all her drinks without her asking so that she couldn’t exactly say “gray goose” over “Absolute.” She wouldn’t have cared anyway, but it was gentler on our pockets.

How about Coney Island if you are looking for something kitchy and less expensive?
There is also a 10.head burlesque place – the red slipper, or slipper room? They will bring the bachelorette up and give her lots of attention.

I definitely agree with pregaming and not doing bottle service– it’s a $30 bottle of liquor for $200! I did it once in my life but never again!

Bottle service will run you a lot! Pre-Game, then buy drinks. There are many rooftop lounges open now and will have fun without the need for bottle service.

Thanks for all your suggestions! The bachelorette was a lot of fun–it was this past weekend.
We kicked things off getting manicures and endless champagne at the Fox and Jane salon on the LES. We played silly games and made drinks at the hotel before having dinner at Hotel Chantelle–got a savored.com reservation which meant 30% off our dining and drinking bill. We then enjoyed the roof top deck there and then headed over to Beauty and Essex for the night–free pink champagne in the ladies bathroom! Perfect weekend 🙂
