I’m originally from Upstate New York (Utica area) and my finace is from NW pennslyvania. We are currently living in Virginia Beach VA but attempting to plan a upstate NY wedding for a spring or fall date. I’ve been looking for a slightly rustic venue(not barn, but still has that fall feel) around Rochester NY and haven’t come up with anything I like. I need to stay under 5k for ceremony site, food, and reception venue and we will probably have between 100-135 guests. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

@FutureMrsGribble: http://glendoveers.com/ I am having my reception here and the inside feel of the place is very rustic- take a look at the pics if you still need a venue-

@Minirayray – This may be a less traditional wedding venue, but worth five minutes to check out their website and wedding guide. The Genesee Country Village and Museum is a recreated 19th century village near Rochester (Mumford, NY). They have several venue options available for the ceremony and reception and can incorporate outdoor garden-type events as well as a more traditional receptions. Their website is http://www.gcv.org – click on ‘Visitor Information’ and then ‘Facilities Rental’ to get to their wedding brochure. Good luck and happy planning!
