Honestly, I try not to think about the fact that we are getting married in February in Pennsylvania. It scares me.  lol.  I haven’t really thought about what to do yet.  I think we are probably going to look into wedding insurance.

I bought wedding insurance because of exactly that. I’m getting married in the south and after all those tornados hit a couple months ago, I made sure that I would be protected (bought mine through Travelers.) It wasn’t so much as the weather on the wedding day that scared me, it was everything leading up to the day. Think about all that destruction that was done in seconds; it could have been my wedding venue.

Oops, late January here.  We’re getting married in central MA.  Our venue has a clause for winter weddings that if you call 24 hours before your wedding you can push the wedding back 24 hours from when it was orginally scheduled.  So if on Friday there’s a big blizzard coming we can change the wedding to Sunday.  Not sure how much better Sunday would be if Saturday is bad enough to cancel but somehow it makes me feel better.

I have bought white wellingtons and a white umberella – I only have 100 meters to walk to the church.  Our photographer will set up the studio just incase the weather is not fit for outdoor pictures.  I have warned my UK guests the weather is cold here – I mean REALLY cold, they don’t believe me and are planning summe outfits (I’ts Greece – it’s gotta be hot!), so I’ve made maps showing the closest clothes stores for them to get something warm.  We’re expecting snow and temperatures of under 0oc so it’s going to be a realy winter wedding!
