Planning lull?

So FI and I have booked the major things: church, hall, photographer, dj, and I've put the deposit down for my dress.  While I know there are certain vendors we should hold off on until we're about six months out, I feel like we've hit a planning lull.  There is a huge bridal show in September that FI and I plan on attending to meet with vendors and I think this is the main reason why we've put the planning on hold.

Have you hit a lull in your planning?  When did it happen and what made you snap out of it?

We DEFINITELY hit a lull in our planning as soon as we nailed down all our major vendors.  I wish I'd snapped out of it a bit sooner, but I was super intimidated by all the little details we still needed to plan, like paper products -- and overwhelmed by ALL the inspiration and ideas I'd been seeing everywhere!

I'm in pretty much the same boat as you.  I have all the "major" things book already (and mine is even farther away than yours!). So now, I'm just enjoying the time by looking at what I refer to as wedding porn (sites like WeddingBee or Style Me Pretty, etc).  I also blog about my wedding planning so that helps break up the lulls.

Oh definitely!  I found that planning came in waves for us.  We would be very productive with wedding stuff and really crank it out and then fade back and not worry about it for a little while.  Then after a few weeks or so we would start itching to work on it again and without even realizing it had cranked out a bunch more that needed to be done.  Don't stress about not going hard at it all the time.  Let it ebb and flow naturally and you'll be much happier.

Same, I've booked my venue, caterer, photographer, and DJ. I need to find a florist, but I've been dragging my feet on that since I'm considering doing my own flowers.

I know the overall theme/ambience that I want, I have the dress, and I've started to do mock-ups of the invitations. But honestly, it seems so soon to be doing some of these things. I'm almost afraid to commit to anything! So I'm not sure how I should pace myself, and at what point do I start crafting? Oh bother.

I've been a lull since we booked the venue in April. The venue includes flowers, cake, food, ceremony, DJ...all the things people have a hard time finding. I got out of it last month after attending a bridal show. Then I figured it was time to look for a dress and phtog. Now I am thinking I need to start scheduling tastings and meeting with our vendors even though it is still 7 months out.

I'm in the same place.  All the big things are booked and I think I've settled on colors and now it's the details.  And I'm hesitant to start ordering or commit too for fear of changing my mind.  I feel like i'm in a great place to start ordering some things to help stagger the bills.

Any suggestions on things I can work on now so as to avoid that week before stress?

I'm in lull now but it's self inflicted. I pushed our wedding back another year so I can grow wildflowers and take a break from all this wedding planning!

I'm there right now. Everything is pretty much done (even though there really IS a lot more to do!). I hope my posts don't get too boring. hah.
