Well, I think I'm way behind.
So far I've:
Booked ceremony and reception venue ( same location)
Said Yes to the dress and reception dress
Spoke with a caterer but haven't done a tasting yet with them
Pick my colors
FI picked a DJ that I'm not crazy about
Booked rooms for OOT guest
Picked flower girl dresses and BM dresses but haven't ordered yet
Things I plan on doing this week:
Decide on a rental company for chairs, tables and tent
Contact some photographers
Contact some saxophone players
Start designing wed page
Decide on Save the Dates

Well, I've only been engaged about a week, but I feel like I'm catching up on planning pretty fast!
- Booked ceremony and reception venue (same place), including catering
- Bought dress
- Picked out dresses for the wedding party, not purchased yet
- Picked out flowers, not purchased yet
- Also picked out invitations, ordering this weekend
- Finalized guest list
Next on the list is to confirm the officiant and book the photographer.
I've been engaged since June as well and here's where I am:
Booked ceremony and reception venue ( same location)
Bought and received dress
Booked caterer, DJ, and florist
Blocked rooms for OOT guest
Made wedding website
Sent save the dates
Taken engagement photos
decided on rental company for chairs and linens (though they don't know it yet)
Confirmed officiants
Currently on my to-do list:
Book a photographer
Decide on music genre for ceremony and book a musician
Pick colors and bridesmaids dresses
Meet with florist and possible day-of coordinators
I've been engaged since July, but we scrapped our venue and started over at Thanksgiving. I have:
-Venue
-Caterer
-Dress
-Photographer
-Makeup artist
-Colors
-Room blocks
-Rehearsal dinner
-Guest list
I had felt like I was wya behind, but this looks like a pretty respectable list! Next we'll be moving on to:
-Band
-Save the Dates!!!
-Website
-Bridesmaid gowns
-Groom's attire

We booked the venue
I bought my dress and it is being tailor right now (still need recep dress)
We got 2 out of the 5 bridesmaid dress
I bought FI ring
We have DJ
FI is looking for an officiant now
Refinished our wedding website which was the OOT save the dates
Finalized the OOT guestlist
Picked colors
Bought wedding favors
Bought the BM gift
Bought the OOT ladies guest favors
Picked our first dance song
In my mind, I started the invites, lol
Just wanted to say congrats to everyone! :-) I was an October bride, and it was beautiful! Congrats again and happy planning!
@mrsjjohnson2b: You don't sound behind to me!! Making great progress by the looks of it :) I hope your DJ works out, it's nice that your FH is involved in helping to plan at least! And a saxophone!? That'll be awesome!

@cardnasac: You have a TON done!! I think finalizing the guest list is one of the hardest things to do! You even have favors and gifts in hand, impressive!

@HummusGal: Lol, thanks. I am a planner by nature and I really wasn't planning on buying most of the stuff I found but it was to good of a deal to pass up, lol. But our OOT guest list was the easiest. We pretty much sent everyone OOT a save the date. If they are willing to cough up the $$$$ to fly in for our wedding then come on, lol. We are still working on the local guest list but we really won't finalized until April or so.
Ahh let's see...I love checking things off my list! This is what we have done so far:
-Ceremony venue
-Reception venue (including food and bar)
-Guest list
-Engagement photos (used them on the Save the Dates!)
-Band (They are amazingggg and this is the most important part for us)
-Dress- bought it at Running of the Brides!
-Found my shoes but haven't purchased them yet...waiting for a sale..or a miracle.
-Bridesmaids dresses and jewelry
-Rehearsal Dinner venue
-Save the dates are sent with room block
-Wedding website
-Hair and makeup artist
-Cake
We still need:
-Invitations (we have an appointment next saturday!)
-Photographer- pretty sure we're signing the contract this weekend but I can't check it off my list until it's official ;)
-Flowers- I already know I wany hydrangeas and we have a florist so we just have to sit down to get that done
-wedding rings- picked them out but havent purchased yet

I had most things planned within the month of getting engaged!! But I'm a planner!
So far I have:
Dress, Bridesmaids dresses, Photog, Venue, Cake, Caterers, Save the dates ordered and on the way, Violinist, DJ, Working on accessories, Planner, Officiant, Florist, MIL booked the shower site, booked hotel room for night of.
I have to finish some things I have been working on but not done with: limos, ceremony script, vows, have to book honeymoon, order rings. Other stuff too I have 112 things on my knot checklist!!
@lizzy105: You are a machine girl!! Love seeing all of your progress, makes me want to get back at it :) My MO has been TONS of research, mixed with spurts of productivity... gotta keep that productivity going and follow through on some of that research! So many options though... haha
@MissNapaBride: Great work Napa!! Good for you, jumping right on it the second you scored the ring! Such an exciting time... :) That knot checklist is pretty helpful, but holy overwhelming sometimes, so many little things to think about.

October 2012 brides! Hi!
I'm sure we're all at different stages of the planning process... depending on how long you've been engaged, but as we approach that 8 month mark, I thought I'd see how far you've come and where you're headed to next in the 'ol checklist!
Me?
Well... We've booked our church, the reception venue, a caterer, our photographer, the DJ, and a photobooth. I found my wedding dress. We have bridesmaids dresses selected and tux fittings underway. I feel like I'm in good shape, but we've been planning slowly since June 2011. Next up?? Make our wedding website, decide on STD's, figuring out flowers/decorations and dessert!
