Start looking at options for your bouquets and any other floral. Are there any farmer's markets in your area where you can get flowers and DIY your bouquets? Otherwise, do you plan to go silk? Or something unconventional like pinwheels?
Start looking at budget-friendly options for centerpieces, especially things you can DIY using random low-cost materials. Keep an eye out for specials on tea lights, baskets, table runners, or anything else you might want to decorate your tables with.
If you need to shop for your jewelry, shoes, makeup, hairpieces, or any other accessories, start looking and getting ideas.
Also make sure you create three playlists on your ipod: "ceremony," "dinner," and "dance." Good luck!
Thanks Jen!
I did make a trip to Dollar Tree and saw good options for candleholders but thought it was "too early" to buy. Maybe I'll start collecting that stuff!
Good job Ms Charisma! :) Looks like you're heading in the right direction with most of the stuffs already secured. Btw, our weddings are just 4 days apart, mine is on Oct 6 :)
Are you going to have escort cards or anything? Programs? Bridesmaids dresses? Favors?
I keep thinking I've got plans for everything and then something else pops up that I need to figure out; I completely get your feeling that there's something that needs doing. :)
Hello, date twin! Yes, officiant is key so I would get right on that.
This week I booked my baker for the cake. I wasn't going to have a cake, but my grandmother offered to pay. If you are DIY your cake, you might want to come up with a plan.
<sigh> I just love this site
Datetwin! And my "new" name is going to be Smith! :) We've got some ins on a baker...going to tastings mid-June.
We're skipping a lot of 'extras'. No favors (unless I find something functional and inexpenisve that we both love). No programs. One MOH, which we do need to find her dress!!
Yesterday I wrote out the return address on all of the invitation envelopes and addressed all of the people on "my" list. That was cool to do...and I only messed up one envelope! :)

I'm a low budget bride :) About $3K total. I have my dress, ceremony & reception venue is secured, the food is included in the package. I haven't chosen actual food items yet; we're doing a tasting in a few weeks. Wedding cake tasting is around the same time. Ceremony music is secured, we're doing iPod for the reception music. We're doing DIY invites, they're here (not printed), but all of the templates are put together and ready to print.
I don't know what I should be doing but it feels like I should be doing *something*. We don't have an officiant (LOL!) I know that's something we need to get going on. What's next?!?
