- Wedding: October 2012
Wow, it has been a while! Last time I posted was on my wedding day. Now, here it is time for me to post about my plans for the vow renewal in October.
October 6th 2013 to be exact, one year after our intimate little elopement ceremony under some apple trees!
We are mostly doing this larger ceremony/vow renewal for our families. Honestly I am fine with what we had, but some of the members (mostly DH side!) were upset. I do have a lot of wedding items though, and now I am excited about getting to use them! I put a lot of time and effort into doing the centerpieces, the bouquet, and a bunch of other smaller details.
We originally planned on having the wedding and reception at an art gallery, kinda not really our style but the building was amazing. Now the wedding is at a gazebo right across the street from the reception- which is being held onsite with the same caterer we had intended on always using at the art gallery. So the only money lost was the deposit for the art gallery (which was full, hence the reason we had to figure something else out.) Now, I will apologize in advance because I know some people love gazebo weddings…but I honestly can’t stand them! The reason we’re doing it is for proximity to the reception and price. It’s $100 the whole day.
Bright side, it is located in a really neat park in Mansfield Ohio called Central Park- not to be confused with THE Central Park lol. It has ties to the movie Shawshank redemption, really cool surroundings, and some great photo opportunities.
Some of my original plans have obviously changed, so now I have to rework some of my ceremony decorations and such. But I will figure it out!
<<<Pictures>>> Sorry they are so large and in charge, guess I never figured out resizing lol!
The gazebo, it’s seriously huge…not sure what to do with this at all lol
reception place, right out those big beautiful windows is Central Park, and the very cute downtown atmosphere.
I suppose some of the reasoning behind me posting is advice on what to do with that ridiculous gazebo. It’s just so big I don’t have the money to decorate that much space to make it actually look attractive. This is my big wedding moment, I really want it to feel just as amazing as our elopement.
