@bnamrs4evr:  I hope this helps. The shank of my ring is 18k white gold and the head is platinum. I can’t see the difference at all.

@bnamrs4evr:  both my e-ring and w-band are platinum. I wanted platinum bc I didn’t want to have to re-dip it later on.  Some people would say its a stupid reason but thats what I wanted.

@bnamrs4evr:  These are platinum. The difference is that they are a wee bit darker than white gold and, of course, scratch easily (BUT do not have to be re-dipped!):

I think you’ll see the most difference over time.  If you take your white gold in to be dipped it’ll always be shiny and white.  Platinum will patina to a light gray after time if you don’t get it polished.

Mine is platinum with a matte finish, so it’s a little different looking, but I love it!
