lol...I agree those poor babies are doomed. Gucci shoes for a baby???...really??? Don't see the point. I'm definitely watching it lol!
Good gracioius. It's like they're totally running out of reality show ideas.
I just had to roll my eyes in disgust when the Gucci baby shoes came on the screen.
I also think it's a little ridiculous to buy a baby a pari of shoes that 1. costs about 400 bucks and 2. that they are going to grow out of in about a month.
What is the purpose?

Materialism at its finest...why is there so much worth put into expensive crap you do not need?
Funny, I thought this recession was supposed to make people "get back to what's important"- so the media said. I totally didn't believe them, and clearly this isn't the case. However, you have to wonder how much debt people are going into to live like that. It can't be that they're making millions upon millions because 99.9999% of the population just doesn't.
Ok. I am ALL for capitalism and a strong economy and I am happy for those who are wealthy and sad for those who want.
That being said, it's just imho natural to see how the other side lives. If not, there wouldn't have been shows on 20 years ago like "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous" and then its offspring like Plat Weddings.
I'm like this..If you're rich, that's great..just bring up your children well ok? Same goes for any parent to be with me.
I agree that it's tasteless during these financial times--and pretty much in general. I remember reading that these shows are doing so well during this time of recession because they are used as an "escape."
I had to stop watching Platinum Weddings because it just pissed me off and made me envious. This is the first I'm hearing of Platinum Babies but it sounds absurd. More upsetting, though, is the fact that Gucci even makes baby shoes in the first place.

They have Platinum Weddings and now WeTV has Platinum Babies. I saw the commercial for the premier tonight and I must say I was a little perturbed. Has this ostentatious over the top display of wealth going too far? Is it just me who feels this way? I did watch Platinum Weddings and enjoyed it but do we really need a Platinum Baby?
