This is my first post ever on here but I’ve been finding these boards so helpful for many reasons throughout my engagement so far — Which is why I’m coming to you ladies for help. I am torn between two dresses. The Maggie Sottero Divina (In Blush!) and the Allure Couture C200. SO, I’m torn for very specific reasons. First of all, its difficult for me to really commit to a bridal look becuase there are so many beautiful looks when it comes to picking a wedding dress. There’s the traditional look with lace and beading or really funky-cool fashion forward styles, all in different shapes from ball gown to mermaid. now for me personally, If I went really traditional and elegant and still wanted that wow, Id go for the Allure since it has the lace and gorgeous all over beaded (this dress sparkles like no tomorrow .. it makes me drool ahah!). But if I wante to go really fun and fashion forward I would pick the MS Divina dress, that dress is definitely a WOW! The blush goes beautifully on my skin and the skirt is dramatic and bold. But my problem is I cant decide between the two… My fear is if I go with the Divina I will regret the bold color choice (i did try the ivory, did not like it at all for some reason). With the allure, my only fear is that in photos it will not capture the drama of the intricacy of the dress, so I’d be spending lots of money on a dress that will only be a wow in person, since what I love about it is the sparkle. now I know no one knows me personally, but just as a poll I wanted to get some unbiased thoughts!
I LOVE both dresses, just wanted to see out there if anyone had an opinion to stay traditionally beautiful in a wedding gown or shockingly beautiful.. which both are great to me haha.. thats my problem. Any input is appreciated!!
Here is the Divina:
Here is the Allure C200

allure. The divina is so popular, I see it on here all the time…. It’s a very distinguishable dress.. which isn’t a bad thing, typically a good thing! But I just wouldn’t want a dress that I’ve seen on here tons and tons of times… that being said, both styles are the trend right now, so even variations of it look similar (mine is somewhat similar to the allure – in shape anyway). I would try on both and take photos (if they let you) and see which one makes you feel more excited, more like a bride, and which one you think you’d be more excited to show your fiance…. pick whichever one gives you the giddy feeling! Good luck!

What’s the feel of your wedding? What kind of venue? Is it fun and modern or formal and traditional? That should help you choose your dress.

Your issue with the second is that the pics may not capture the beauty of the dress. In the pictures you posted, obviously from another wedding, the details of the dress pop to me. It’s stunning! I think your photographer is going to be key in capturing it’s true beauty. The first one is beautiful but the second one is the wow dress to me.
Welcome to the Hive! Happy planning!

@MrsPhilly: Hey! Thanks for the reply. I actually did try on both and felt great in each! which is why I’m torn.. I know my fiance does not like ruffle dresses because he likes a more traditional look so he’d be happy with the Allure. its just, the Divina had a corset back that gave me the most gorg hour glass shape… I could always put a corset into the allure but I wonder how that would work out. Thanks for your input!!

Both are so beautiful!! Tough choice….Dress 2 is more…”classic” of the two… where #1 makes a dramatic statement!

I think the allure dress will be better at your venue, I think it will sparkle beautifully there. Maybe with the dimmed lights the first dress will not be as fantastic there? Maybe it needs more daylight/ natural light to look it’s best…
