@lucyv2003:  yeah, I’ve had a scare or 2 and I’m always praying that it’s negative, but I’m always a little bummed by the negative.

@lucyv2003:  Yea I can relate! I haven’t been so late with my period that i’ve resorted to taking a test, but the times I’ve got my period a few days late it’s been a mixture of ‘oh thank god’ and ‘oh.. that’s a kind of a bummer’. While ideally we want to wait a couple of years before TTC, I cannot WAIT to be a mum!

That’s me too! We are TTCing as of 2 mths. And both mths I went through some MAJOR turmoil due to which I was hoping I would not be preggo. But when I actually wasn’t, I was pissed. Lol! Oh and both these mths we did not BD on the day of O. First mth DH was out and came home late and I was asleep already. Second mth DH was out of town on business altogether. But we did BD in both cases 1-2 days before. So I wanted and didn’t want a pregnancy at the same time. Ugh!

I’ve had a whoops moment once before. We were too young and unstable and were praying for a negative.. But once I got it I felt like I’d lost something..

@lucyv2003:  I only had one incident like that. I took a blue dye test on a Sunday, and I was hoping (and pretty sure) it would be negative. After I saw it was negative I was quite let down deep down inside. Still feeling symptoms, I tested again Wednesday with a pink dye test, and it was positive. Super happy and over the moon. Then I went back to feeling scared. All those emotions are normal!

@lucyv2003:  Agreed with pp- totally normal feelings! I’ve had moments like that before- the emotions are quite confusing. It’s bizarre once you finally do decide to ttc- you’ve spent your whole life hoping for negatives, then all of a sudden you are hoping for a positive! I don’t think males have to deal with these emotions lol

When I was a newlywed the first time around, we’d only been married a couple months when my period was super late.  I never tested, but we did talk about the what-ifs.  I think we both got kind of excited, but after three weeks my period showed up and we were both disappointed.  We started trying for real a couple months later.

Yea, same here. When we were not yet TTC and I was off the pill and we were pulling out, we had an “oops” (haha really,  was it an oops?). I was definitely a little sad when I got my period.
