@twocatcupcake: I think it is a cute idea, but it would work better if the dress was a different color (like yellow or brown).

I think you could totally make that dress work.  Or, have you considered maybe being a bee-keeper?  It’s a pretty easy costume, you would mostly just need the hat. 🙂

I agree with trugem that it might be more obvious if you had a yellowish or brownish dress.  I’m not sure if I would get it if I saw that dress with bees stuck all over it.  Is this a dress you already have?  I’ll take a look and see if I can make any suggestions…

I think, is a creative idea, and it will work, leggins, like a bee will look cute too.

You make me giggle  🙂  I think people would be able to get the idea if you put bees all over the dress.

Do you think maybe you could gets some light brown leggings with something similar to a honeycomb pattern to wear underneath?  I think Naiexoxo had a good idea

Also, some large-nubbed brownish tweed would probably work very well and ould be eminently rewearable!

unless you already have the dress and wig, I’d vote bee keeper. You just need the hat and some gloves and you can wear whatever else you want.

I’m not gonna lie…I really like the idea of a beekeeper better!  The hat could be hilarious!

Aww don’t be sad.  I’m sure you can still work out a good costume!  The dress you have would probably work fine, you might just have to answer a few more questions than if you were wearing something a bit more obvious!  And worst comes to worst, you’d at least look hot in that slinky number, haha.

Like I said, if that’s what you want to wear I think you could totally make it work.  In the end whatever you decide is completely your decision.  Ooooh….what if you used that dress and incorporated some sort of yellow, wings, and maybe a tiara, then you could be a queen bee!
