I like it. Simple, elegant, to the point... and lots more info than you usually get. love it!
ugh...part of the picture is getting cut off ... to see the whole image, just click on it and you'll see the whole thing open up on the screen. sorry!! i don't know how to fix that.
This looks great! My only tiny critique is that the information at the bottom gets a little jumbled since it's so small and close together.
Could you offset the information about the hotel a little from the website. Also, I'm not totally sure that you need to include all of that information on the STD - if you just say "Rooms have been blocked at XXX Hotel" I think people will figure out it's going to be cheaper rate there. You could also put all the info on the website, so an abbreviated version on the STD would be fine. Orr..you could just spread the word to the OOT guests.
Hope this helps! I'm all for minimalism, so I always think things look better when slightly less cluttered :)
bkgrahamwedding - thanks for the critique! i appreciate what you're saying and i've wrestled with this myself. the issue is that (a) i do not trust most of my guests to bother actually checking the website, so i need the hotel info to be on the STD, and (b) the hotel is a very nice resort and i want people to know right on the invite that they are getting an EXTREMELY good rate so that they won't automatically rule out staying there by just assuming it's too expensive.
i will definitely try separating the hotel and website info and see how that looks. thank you!
i agree with bkgrahamwedding about taking off some of the hotel room block specifics. for some reason the flourish on the left is looking off to me. i would do the text about the hotel and website address left justified and remove the left flourish. also i would put extra spacing between the hotel info and wedding website address. do you have the option to print on the backside of the card?
These are great--I love the decoration. I think you're right to keep the hotel info on the STD... I only gave the URL with my STDs and people haven't checked the website.
So pretty! I would take everything after "formal invitation to follow" off. You can include those specifics with your actual invite, this is just to save the date.
I really love your STD!! I agree with the other ladies, the information on the bottom is a little jumbled together. You did such a wonderful job!
Very nice! I do agree that the writing on the bottom kind of gets bunched together. But aside from that, love it!
I love these . . . except for font of the *and* in the middle. It just seems to disrupt the flow between your names, if that makes any sense.
I'm going to echo some of the other comments about the hotel information. Is there a reason they need to know about it so soon? Could you include an accomodation card with your invitations? If you took that part out, you could add a larger flourish at the bottom left corner, which would add some balance. Plus, the "special nightly rate of $125" kinda sounds like an advertisement.
But overall it looks good :)
I love it! And I like having the information on the bottom I think that is very useful!
I think it looks great!! As for the hotel info, if you have that info on your website, you don't need to put it on the STD, unless you just want to. And good for you for already doing your STDs and hotel block!
I love it! I understand why you're including the hotel info and I think that's completely fine. A lot of STDs I've seen lately includes this information with the hotel and reservation name/number. Make sure it's on the website too, but don't expect everyone to check it. Probably only half our guests ever checked the website (that I spent hours and hours creating!). Ugh. Leave the hotel info and the fact that you get a special rate, but maybe take off the $125.
The funny part is, regardless of putting this info on the STD, on the website, and probably again on a card in the invitation, SO MANY people will STILL call you and ask "what was the hotel again?" Ack!!
I really like the design of it, very chic. I understand your reasoning for including all the hotel info on it, but is there any way this information could be printed on the back of the STD? It would look cleaner on the front and you could just saying something like "see reverse for accommodation information".
I like the overall layout and look of it!
In terms of content the things I would change is not including the price of the nightly rate. OR even the room block because I assume that information can be found on your wedding site. Rather I would include where the wedding is! =) Unless that infor is the whiteout part?
LOVE this! That swirly thing is beautiful, and I love them in purple!
I might stay away from using "Rooms have been blocked" as that is technically hotel jargon. I would word it as "A limited number of rooms have been reserved at ____ hotel. Please call __ to reserve a room at our special wedding rate" but I don't know if I would put the room rate. That detailed information technically belongs on your wedding website. Most people will know that a "special wedding rate" means discount. Those that don't can find out via the website. If you print the room rate on the STD, your guests may end up misunderstanding that they can have that rate no matter what, even if your block fills up.
I just know from being on the hotel end of things that it's not fun to explain to guests who wait until the last minute that they couldn't get the wedding room rate becase the block was full. Those people do things like scream and yell at poor front desk agents. People who are not or have not recently been brides (or who are not frequent wedding guests, such as your older guests) just don't "get" the concept of a room block, which is that a limited amount of rooms are set aside at a certain rate and once they are full, they're full.
Other than that, I LOVE your design! They are gorgeous! :)

Hi guys! Think I've FINALLY settled on my save the date but would love a second (or third or fourth) pair of eyes to critique any final issues that need to be resolved. What do you think of it overall? And are there any formatting issues to fix? Obviously I blocked out identifying info so don't count where you see the white spots as an issue. Thanks!!!!
