A word of a advice,
If you are working with a vendor and have not had the full services completed, Please DO NOT recommend them to someone else. Even if the company has been great to work with with Great prices thus far, the services have not been completed.
I am guilty of it. I recommended the linen company that scammed us. We did turn to the AG and just got our money back today. However, it doesn’t need to just be a linen company, it could be a photographer, or any services out there. And the vendor may come off like they are wonderful to work with and have great products, just please, Wait until your services are fully followed through before reccommendations are made to prevent others from going through a mess like we had to.
I hope to help others prevent getting scammed. Thanks Bees!!!!

Good point. If I’ve ever recommended anyone to a vendor I haven’t gotten a completed product or service from I’m sure to add that detail. It’s an important one!
I’m glad you got your money back 🙂

Excellent advice! A vendor can be great during the planning process and then flake out on the day of, and vice versa.

I am guilty of this as well. I recommended my photographer through a friend to a bride getting married before me. She booked him! So she will use him before me. I mean, he seems totally legit and has a great reputation in the wedding industry, but you still have a point.

I think MOST are guilty of it 🙂 I just never thought about it until this happened!!

Good advice- our rehearsal photogs were seemingly wonderful. Then they gave us a ridiculously low number of pictures for 2 shooters/3 hours. Now all I want to do is give them scathing reviews which I never would have expected.

I never even thought of this, but it’s great advice. I did recommend our DJ before our wedding, but he had already been DJ for two other weddings I’ve attended, so I knew how great he was.
