My FI gets so frustrated with me over how indecisive I can be at times. My problem is I have several visions and creative ideas and cannot choose which I like best. When I do make a decision I tend to regret it and wish I had done/picked something else instead. I like to have all my options in front of me and at times this is very impossible.
Right now most of this revolves around my dress. I currently have two dresses and like two others. The first one is an Amsale, I enjoy it very much, but it's ivory. Nothing against ivory, but I've decided I really prefer white which I would have never realized if I hadn't bought this dress. The second dress is a custom made dress, I thought I couldn't go wrong here. I like it, but it's not quite me. True, I picked the design and she did amazing, but I am disappointed because it doesn't look like I had hoped it would on me. When I got it I told my FI that I think I love it my FI then said "Love it enough you're going to sell it and get another one?"
Now I'm looking at another Amsale and a Watters. The Amsale Bijou and Watters Lasara to be exact. Both have different feels to them, but I love both and getting them together in the same place to compare has been a no go.
My wedding color/theme is all white. We are going to try to have an outdoor ceremony (weather depending) otherwise it will be in the lobby of our reception site. I'll include pictures of the dresses and the reception site. I could really use some advice on this. I feel horrible about looking for another dress, but I just don't feel right in the other two.
I like dress number 2. To be honest, the first one is too low cut and all I noticed were your boobs. I'm sure that's what everyone will be looking at the whole time. It's the very first thing I noticed. lol
The third dress, it's just not my style.
Lol, that was my other problem with it! We have a four year old and I know at some point I would lean over and I don't want to fall out. My FI, however, didn't seem to think that was a big deal. Guys...
@reinab505: of course FI wouldn't have a problem with it. ha ha ha. My SO has been feeling me up all month and claims its for Breast Cancer Awareness and he's just doing his part. Ugh.
I love the black accents on the second dress. I don't know, that third dress...I've seen it on Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta and it doesn't look right on regular brides. You know, not super model brides.
You need to wear what makes you happy and gives you that feeling. I thought i'd found my dress a few weeks ago but started having doubts and i'm glad I did as my Mum and I went dress shopping on Saturday and we got my DREAM dress. So just listen to your heart.
the watters dress is my favorite among the 4 you posted. i think the amsale dress looks "wow" at first, then "too busy" after a few seconds.. anyway, if you can afford it, buy another dress! but make sure it is what you FOR SURE want, because selling dresses isn't as easy and fast as it might seem! i'm selling mine, it's been a month, it's only gotten TWO inquiries but no follow-through :(
@reinab505:can you tell me who the designer of dress number 3 is its gorgeous.............
my fave is the 4th one. but they are all good choices. its whatever you decide in the one and can be happy with. once you make a decision, i suggest deleting all other pics! i had much difficulty finding my second dress after regretting my first, so i know how stressful the process can be.
I LOVE dress number 2. I admit I have a weakness for black accents, but I think it looks amazing on you! It just looks perfect. :)
#3 is wow! Amazing! #2 and #4 are also very pretty and would look awesome.
With that said, #1 is just not my style. Entirely too much cleavage, and I'd be staring at your boobs the entire time! Sorry :o(
i love the fourth dress! i agree about the first one being too low cut. the last thing you want to worry about on your wedding day is a wardrobe malfunction.
Peronsally the 4th one is my favorite, but I like the second one more on you, out of the ones you have pictures of yourself in, but the 4th is my fav!
I agree with the OP that the first dress is probably too revealing. I'd narrow it down to the Amsale and the Watters. The Amsale is a little more extravagant for the venue, but I personally love the Watters. It is flowy and romantic, and probably very flattering on your figure. It would give you good boobs without too much of a good thing
Do you have pics of yourself in #3 and #4? I personally love the style of #4 the best, but it's hard to tell without seeing YOU in the dresses.
Number 2 would really match with your venue in an amazing way. Plus it looks fantastic on you. I'm really sorry that you don't seem to be comfortable in it.
If I have to pick from the last two, I admit to full on loving that Amsale dress. I've thought it looked great on normal brides. And I think it's very fashion forward. I have, however, never seen it in white. On Say Yes to the Dress Atlant, it's a coffee au lait sort of color. And it looks like that might be the same color it is in the model pic above. I'd need to see it in stark white before I am sure.
But if you won't consider number 2, the Amsale is my vote.
I LOVE the one with the black trim. That is gorgeous and fits you beautifully. The first one shows a lot of boobs (I know I try to hide mine at all costs) and sort of makes you look really bottom heavy.
I am drawn to No. 4, but go there only if you absolutely have to. You already have a dress, custom made, that makes you look great. I'm sorry you don't feel comfortable in it.
@paulajmc4: dress 3 is Amsale Bijou.
@2PeasinaPod: It's ok. That was a problem I had with it and it's all I looked at too when I had it on.
@Statutory Grape: I'm trying! It's like I have an addiction for pretty dresses.
@ddubzz: I'm trying to track them down. Which is hard because most likely I will have to travel to find them. I live in a small town with two dress shops that carry the same lines and a David's Bridal, that I've tried unsuccessfully to make an appt at twice just to try different styles on.
To everyone who likes dress 2: I'm trying to love it. I really am. I'm thinking of having the straps removed or lengthened because they pull the dress up in an uncomfortable way. I tried it on again today and stood there trying to decide.
Thank you to all who replied. My sisters and FI are so irritated with me.
I really like number 4. Very pretty. Number 2 is super cute too... It looks like it would fit your reception site really well.
As you can tell I am also indecisive. :)
honestly, i dont prefer the first one. all of the other ones are great! The first one is not flattering on the top...too many boobs and not enough strap :) You look amazing in the second one and i love the others! good luck
#1 looks like a "wardrobe malfuntion" waiting to happen, beyond that you need to love the dress not everyone else! It is YOUR day! ;)
I am obsessed with dress #3. I saw it (or something like it) on SYTTD, and fell in love. If I looked remotely good in drop waist gowns, and/or had known about it, I would have snatched it right up. Also, dress #4 is so gorgeous up close! Lovely from far away, but totally luscious. I love that detailing. I vote for 3 or 4!
I love number 2. If you decide to go with a different one, number 4 would be my pick.
The 1st one is too low cut.. it is possible to alter the neckline? Its ok to be indecisive but do you really want to buy a 3rd dress? I think you should just take a deep breath and think it through, you dont want to end up with 3 dresses that you dont like.
4 is gorgeous, but coming from a girl with boobs (and noticing you have some yourself!), I'd be bursting out of a top that low. It's one I'd definitely try to get your hands on soon so you can make some decisions. Don't feel too bad, I bought a dress and immediately regretted it. It was gorgeous and looked pretty on me, but it was foofy and poofy and once I got over the "Holy crap, I'm a bride!" reversion to my 5-year old self, I spent the noext 6 months trying to convince myself it was the right one. I was so miserable trying it on when it came in that I ended up buying a different dress - a fit and flare that I absolutely adore!
Selling dresses is a pain, so good luck with that!!
I love the dress #1, if the neckline was higher it would be gorgeous! But for some reason I absolutely love dress #2!!
I love #4, but that is my dress, so I'm biased!
@TealChocolate I get scared when I look at photos of that dress on the model, because it looks like it is going to slide off her boobs. It made me wonder if that was how the dress looked on me (the bridal store didn't let me take photos until I paid for the dress). The dress didn't sit that low (at least, not when it was clipped to within an inch of its life) on me.
LOVE #4, hands down.
Love dress #4! Between the two firsts, my pick would be #2, I think the black accents are stunning, and you look so elegant in it!
you should totally put up a poll for this - i vote for #4.... its the cutest of the bunch. definately not #1...too many boobies....
@bells: I've had the 1st one since March and really don't see myself wearing it. I don't want to bother with altering something I don't even feel like is in the running. I bought it on impluse and will probably donate it just to be rid of it. I just posted the picture to verify why I changed my mind (I thought if I didn't someone would ask to see it anyway).
@TealChocolate: I'm going to try it on either this weekend or next. I feel like that with the 1st one. I bought it just to say I had one. The 2nd... I don't know I like it, but don't love it. If I try these two on and neither does it for me then I'll stick with the 2nd because it does look good and it's paid for.
@Monster of the Bride: I know! A malfunction was my big concern. I know I need to love it and that's the problem. I don't like one and just like the other. There is no love and that's what everyone is having trouble understanding. My older sister eloped and no one was there to see her wedding, the other two are just in the dating stage. My FI is a typical guy and thinks that as long as it's a dress it should be ok.
@spaganya: Poll added!
Note to all: I'm trying to set up appointments to try the other two on.
