I am just wondering if anyone else has experienced diarrhea during their pregnancy. I’ve had it for the last 3 days, along with a very fuzzy feeling (almost as if I’m hungover…Which I’M DEFINITELY NOT). I’m not sure if it’s something to be concerned about or if it’s “normal”. This is my first pregnancy and I’ll be 16 weeks tomorrow. I have a dr. appointment already scheduled for Thursday, but am wondering if I should try to get in sooner?
Any thoughts/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
As always, thanks Hive!

I have had some days where my stomach has felt bad and have had some diarrhea but that was mainly just 1 day here and there, i found that resting and eating a more bland diet with lots of water helped me. Sometimes when i workout and get hot i feel a little lightheaded or dizzy. Which is normal for me, but i would talk to your OB maybe even call monday and see if they want you to come in sooner. Hope you feel better soon!

I’ve had some issues like that. The books say it’s normal, and mine didn’t last long. If you’re worried, I would just call the OB and see what they say about it.

Yes, I have had some really bad gut problems since I got pregnant. I always hear about constipation so I thought I was weird….but I heard that it’s normal. Our bodies are all different and so they may react in different ways. So me….I had a lot of diarrhea. The dr. said to just make sure you are drinking water so you don’t get dehydrated
Other things that help are Imodium and also trying to take some fiber…like Metamucil. for a few weeks I was living off bread and apple sauce.

I’d say that unless you are unable to eat anything or keep anything in your system you should be okay. Dehydration is the main concern.

I have a day of this maybe once a week or once every two weeks. I’m often constipated since being pregnant, so I welcome it.LOL

I would maybe call on Monday and explain the situation to them. They will give you some guidelines you should follow. I think I have heard that if you can’t keep anything down for more than 24 hours you probably are dehydrated and will need to get fluids via IV or something.

I’ll be constipated for 2 or 3 days and then have nothing but the runs for 2-3 days. I asked my doc about because it didn’t seem right and she said it was fine and try to eat more fiber.
