Ok so im a 32G cup size and although im a sz 4, had to get a 10 to fit my boobs. I was going to have the zipper back changed to corset so i wouldnt have to wear a bra and it would hold the boobies in.
The 1st alterations lady said i dont even need to alter to corset that she could add cups and have the waist and top part taken in. but she was willing to do the corset which i wanted and she agreed that it would work.
Just got back from the 2nd alterations lady and she said that 1. corset backs are out of style 0_o and 2. i would absolutely need to wear a strapless long line bra because the corset would not hold my boobs in.
i was assured that a corset back would hold them in and high so now im so confused. They both saw me in the dress so i dont understand 🙁
what do you guys think?

I’m a 34DDD and went without a bra…in a dress that had a zipper. My boobs looked great. If the lady knows what shes doing, it will work.

I wear 32H bras and I wore a zipper back with no bra. I NEVER go braless and thought it would be awful but in fact my dress was so well boned there was no room or need for a bra.

What does your dress look like? I’m a 30F and didn’t wear a bra with mine either, the zipper was fine because my dress was well constructed

I’m was an F-cup then and went with a long-line bra with my dress that has a zippered back. They were originally just going to add cups in, but I didn’t get as much support as I needed and felt uncomfortable without the bra. Some dresses have more structure built into them than mine did though.

I’m a 38DD and I’m not wearing a bra but mine is also a corset I don’t care if there out of style (but I dont think they are though) it helps secure the girls and there is boning in my dress also.

This is my dress(not me) Vera Wang 351065. Im having the neckline changed to sweetheart:
I think im going to go with the 1st alterations lady because she was willing to add the corset if thats what i want and assured me adding cups or changing to corset would be fine. Thinking back, i didnt like the way the 2nd lady talked. She said stuff like “what? you HAVE to wear a bra!! or your breasts will be down there!!” My boobs are not “down there “without a bra why would they be in my dress?!!
It was a very odd and uncomfortable experience. I went to try a strapless longline today BUT i would rather not lol(its cost $122!!!). Thanks my fellow big boobed ladies

purrrbaby: I am a 34DD and have a VWgown as well from Davids. I am a sz 6 but had to order a sz 12 because of my bust and butt. I am changing to a sweetheart and will have to have the waist taken in as well. Pics of my gown are posted on my board. I would suggest going with option#1 the other seamstress is a bit rude in my opinion.
