I’m also 33 weeks and haven’t experienced this yet. Did you try soaking it in warm water/epsom salts? Or having someone massage it out? I’ve read that a lack of potassium can cause cramping in leg/foot muscles…maybe try a banana? Does it feel like a ligament issue? I think we’re at that stage where our ligaments are starting to stretch out (due to relaxin if I’m remembering right). Maybe it got overextended or something :/ If it were me, I’d give it a day and then maybe give the doctor a call. Only you can judge the pain you’re in though!  Sorry I’m not much help 🙂

Honestly, this sounds like gout.  Does gout run in your family?  Although my brother will have gout flareups and he is the only one in our family, even though it tends to run in families.  Have you eaten alot of red meat or yeast?

I would call your Dr and have it checked out.  For gout they give you ibuprofen – I’m not sure if you can take that when your pregnant, so double check.  They have other things they can do in addition to medicine, if you can’t take ibuprofen.

Gout is tricky – because it’s an inflammation of the joint, but lots of times there is absolutely no swelling that is detectible to the eye.  To look at my brother’s foot, you would never have known anything by looking…. but he ended up in the hospital – and he has a pretty high tolerance for pain.

I hope you feel better.

It is very common for pregnant women to have leg and foot cramps. Are you dehydrated at all? I would try drinking a bunch of water and try to see if that helps. Also, were you on your feet a lot yesterday? Maybe wearing heels or shoes that put a lot of pressure on the ball of your feet? Those are all things that have made my feet feel like they are going to cramp but they never do (I’m 29 weeks pregnant).

@stbMohror:  You know, I had something similar about a week ago.  It felt like one or two of my toes on my right foot were bruised or something, but it wasn’t intense pain.  It’s been about a week, and they feel totally fine now.  I just assumed I bumped them on something and there was an inner bruise.
